  254. ----------------

  256. To install WAZTREE on your hard disk:
  257. a.   Place Disk in drive A.
  258. b.   Type: INSTALL and press ENTER.
  259. c.   Follow the directions displayed on the screen.
  260.  
  261. If you don't want to use the install program supplied then copy the
  262. following files to a directory on your hard disk (example: make a
  263. directory named Waztree "MKDIR WAZTREE").

  270. If you had Version 1.5 and have installed V2.10 delete file
  271. "WAZTREE.HLP".  This was the help file which is now part of the

  276. 360k floppies as well.

  298. 4. Tips on using WazTree
  299. ------------------------

  301. *    You can set up formatting diskettes using Application menu.
  302.      For example if you have a 1.2m floppy and want to format 360k
  303.      set up the following application than when you want to format
  304.      360k floppies just select it.  Set up: Press F4 to get
  305.      Applications, press F2 with mark over blank application, enter
  306.      ie. C:\DOS\FORMAT.COM A:/F:360 <enter> then name the
  307.      application "format A: as 360k".  You could set one up for
  308.      each of the type of floppies you have then formatting will be
  309.      a easier.
  310.  
  311. *    If you don't want to use Waztree's editor then you can specify
  312.      your own by command ctrl z and after the ID entry you can
  313.      specify complete path and name of your editor.
  314.  
  315. *    If you use your own editor and edit the same file often you
  316.      might want to enter the editor and document in an Application
  317.      selection.  Example of Application command line:
  318.      C:\EDITOR\ED.EXE MYDOC.DOC
  319.  
  320. *    If you don't want to use Waztree's modem (wtmodem) or voice dialer
  321.      (wtvoice) then you can specify your own by command ctrl z and after

  349. 6. Using Mouse Drivers with EGA and VGA Graphics Cards
  350. ------------------------------------------------------

  352. Early versions of mouse drivers don't support screen display modes
  353. larger than 80 columns by 24 lines. As a result, your mouse driver
  354. might not work correctly when you use WAZTREE enhanced display
  355. modes EGA 80x43 or VGA 80x50. The following chart will assist you
  356. in determining if your mouse driver will work correctly with the
  357. enhanced display modes.  You can usually get an updated driver via
  358. BBS's.

  434. 8. Shareware
  435. ------------

  437. Shareware (also known as user supported software, try before you buy and other
  438. names) is a concept not understood by everyone.  The authors of Shareware
  439. retain all rights to the software under the copyright laws while still allowing
  440. free distribution.  This gives the user the chance to freely acquire and try
  441. software to see if it is appropriate for his or her needs.  Shareware should
  442. not be confused with Public Domain software even though they are often acquired
  443. from the same sources.  If you continue to use Shareware after trying it out,
  444. you are expected to register your use with the author and pay a registration
  445. fee.  What you get in return depends on the author, but may include a printed
  446. manual, free updates, telephone support, etc.  Only by paying for the Shareware
  447. you use do you enable the Shareware author to continue to support his software
  448. and create new programs.  Considering that the Shareware registration fees are
  449. almost always far less than the purchase price of comparable commercial
  450. software it's obvious that Shareware is a good deal for everyone.  There are
  451. genuine advantages to you in the Shareware system.  You get to  try out
  452. software to make sure it is compatible with your hardware and that it fits your
